About NAHAA

NAHAA is a project of California Coverage Health Initiatives (CCHI), a statewide association with over 40 enrollment, renewal, outreach, and navigation members across California.

NAHAA was established in 2014 as a state based all-volunteer effort in order to build a professional association that would create a voice for consumer assistance at the national level.

Key Focus Areas Include:

  • Advocacy and Visibility to Policymakers
  • Sharing Best Practices
  • Professional Development and Networking Opportunities
  • Explore New Funding Models
  • Develop and Grow Consumer Assistance Programs
  • Technical Assistance and Capacity Building

In June of 2017, the founding volunteer steering committee members from Alaska, Delaware, Florida, Maine, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin formally came together as a project under CCHI. In addition to expanding our network of agencies and states, our near-term goal is to encourage new membership and participation in building out the basic organizational infrastructure, including communications tools, best practices and other resources, and operational plans
